Playing a Serial Killer: Mindhunter Season 2 , can you play a Serial Killer? @allcastingcom

Playing a Serial Killer: Mindhunter Season 2 Released

by Agatha

It’s 21:34. You’ve been sitting in room 216 for the past 4 hours, waiting patiently. Hunting is all about tactics, you say. Being in the right place at the right time. While falling deep into the realm of your fantasies, you look at your hands. They’ve served me well. You press your fingers against your palm, slowly counting. 1… 2… 3… you whisper. It’s going… to be… my 6th…

To celebrate Mindhunter Season 2 release, we’re continuing our journey of controversial acting roles, leaping straight into the heavy stuff — serial killers. We posted a poll on our Facebook Page, asking the following:

poll

The poll will continue for 6 more days, but so far it looks like the allcasting community would love to play serial killers — 90% voted yes!

Mindhunter Season 2

Have you seen the Mindhunter TV series? If the answer is no, you’re missing big time.

The first episode aired on October 13th, 2017 and since then has taken the heart of every binge-watcher out there. With the IMDb rating of 8.6, Mindhunter has become one of the best TV series of the last 2 years.

The long-awaited Mindhunter Season 2 was released just a few days ago — on August 16th. Often new seasons come with disappointment. However, Season 2 brings creepy-flavored treats to any mindf#ck-loving weirdo out there.

Spoiler alert! If you continue reading this article, you’ll find out what kind of serial killers are shown in Mindhunter TV series.

Serial Killers on Mindhunter TV Series

More than celebrating great films and TV shows, we celebrate great actors. In Mindhunter several actors took up the terrifying challenge of playing a serial killer. Can you imagine it? Tapping into the mind of a psychopath. Not just understanding how you go about killing a human being, but how you see it as a vocation. What do you think? Could YOU pull this off?

Cameron Britton as Ed Kemper, the coed killer

coed

Don’t let that lovely smile trick you. Cameron Britton didn’t just take creepy to a whole new level. He managed to trigger panic attacks not only in the TV series but also in real-life, for anyone who was watching him…

Damon Herriman as Charles Manson

manson

Damon Harriman played Charles Manson both in Mindhunter and the scandalous new film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”.

In Mindhunter you can also experience Happy Anderson playing Jerry Brudos, Jack Erdie as Richard Speck, Sam Strike as Montie Rissel, Sonny Valicenti as the BTK Killer, Christopher Livingston as Wayne Williams and more. See full information on IMDb.

Family Rap Artist – Cactus ( SecretAgent23Skidoo.com )

Fb: Secret Agent 23 Skidoo….

Instagram.com/SecretAgent23Skidoo

Twitter.com/Agent23Skidoo

So I did a music video recently and it just launched, (Space Joke) this last week. So I sat down on the phone with the artist and friend, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo…. and talked about Life, Love, and the pursuit of RappyNess !

BIO:

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo is a Grammy winning, internationally touring, purple velvet tuxedo wearing family funk phenemenon. Combining the positive, primal power of hip hop with the surreal storytelling of science fiction, 23 Skidoo has concocted a potent
potion that wows family crowds across the planet.

The ingredients of his magic spells include reverence for the boundless mindstates of young children, respect for the culture and DNA of hip hop, funk and soul music, and a deep belief in the power of the imagination to change the world in positive ways, both personal and universal.

If you can imagine a band with Jim Henson on guitar, Shel Silverstein on bass and PIXAR as the lead vocalist, you’ve pretty much got it. And if George Clinton and Q Tip stopped by the party, that might clarify things even more. Basically, if Dr. Seuss and Dr. Dre had a baby, it would be the music of Secret Agent 23 Skidoo. Nuff said.

In 2007, Skidoo had already spent over a decade touring the nation with various live band/hip hop groups as a rapper and producer. He’d opened up for MOS DEF, RUN DMC, P-Funk All Stars and The Sun Ra Arkestra. And best of all, he’d helped bring a beautiful little baby girl into the world. By that time, she was 5 years old, and as smart as a smart car that runs on smart drinks. Taking a break from the road, Skidoo taught little Saki (aka MC Fireworks) how to rap, and together they made the world’s first album of family hip hop, literally from a family that makes hip hop. It caught on quick, and they soon had a #1 hit on SiriusXM’s family channel, which started planting seeds across the nation and beyond.

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo Wins the Grammy!

In the next decade, 23 Skidoo, MC Fireworks, and Bootysattva (aka Mom) rocked lots of shows with a bunch of awesome friends who sang, scratched records, danced, played instruments and did backflips. They played Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and the Smithsonian. They flew to Canada for the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and to India for the Buddy Daddy Family Festival. They got glowing reviews in TIME, USA Today, People, and a bunch of other magazines and stuff. They racked up a total of ten #1 hits on SiriusXM, and ended up on NPR’s “All Things Considered” twice. Their music videos are currently playing on NBC’s kids’ show “Sprout House”. And in 2014, they got nominated for a Grammy, and in 2017, they WON the Grammy for “Best Children’s Recording”!!! That was cool. Got to go onstage in a tophat and everything.

As well as releasing six full length albums, two books, one record, a line of hot sauce, and an E.P. that combines the entire Asheville Symphony with beats and rhymes, 23 Skidoo has written and produced the music for the US Library’s Summer Reading Program for six years running. He been its official New York State spokesman in 2010 and its official Reading Champion in 2017, because books are awesome. And he’s taught countless kids to write their own rhymes in workshops across the country.

In the decade of dancing down this crazy path, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo has evolved a sound and style that never dumbs down the music or underestimates the audience. With funk and beats as real as bands that play at midnight, and with lyrics that aren’t afraid to employ a larger vocabulary that what is currently heard on mainstream radio for grown ups, Skidoo fashions a world intended for the whole family. The universal constants that we all deal with, such as love, struggle, dreams, fear and learning to become ourselves, are the soul of these musical adventures that bounce, fly and slide smoothly through landscapes of wild imagination.

Will Roberts talks to Toby Lawless of Lawless Casting Seminars @ActingUpRadio

Toby decided to start working with commercial actors at the urging of a few of the top commercial casting directors in Los Angeles. They felt that actors could really benefit if I could communicate to them what I’ve learned about the commercial casting process and how it’s changed in the last few years from working behind and in front of the camera.

I began my career in the entertainment industry as a child actor, earning my SAG & AFTRA cards working on television, films and commercials in the early 90’s. I continued working professionally with a focus on improvisational comedy through high school and college.

After graduating I moved to New York where I continued study and work as a professional actor and was hired as a specialist to teach acting and improvisation in both charter schools and in the most high needs public high schools in the five New York boroughs, where I developed the curriculum for theater and improvisational-based educational programs.

Hedi’s Mission…

To help actors stop “struggling” or “aspiring”, or  being “just another actor” and turn dreamers into ‘doers’ who make their careers their own by embracing the ‘business’ part of show business. You can still love your craft and work on your business too. That’s where I come in… I will show you step-be-step how to embrace marketing your career to make your own acting opportunities. When it comes to helping actors…. I’m the real deal!
